Mlle suggested I put up the writing assingments from my Written and Oral Communcations class for fun, sooooo here it goes:
Using key narrative elements (purpose, action, conflict, point of view, key events and dialogue) write a narrative that illistrates a particular maxim from the list below.
For those who don't know, a maxim is a concise statement of a generally recognized truth.
Maxims that can be used: A little learning goes a log way; The more things change, the more they stay the same; It's an ill wind that blows no good; Don't judge a book by it's cover; The road to hell is paved with good intentions; Pride goeth before a fall; The long way around is the short way home; Sometimes good intentions have unexpected consequenced; You'll catch more flies with honey than vinegar; The work will teach you how to do it; There's no right way to do a wrong thing; Don't mistake motion for efficiency; Don't put all your eggs in one basket; A penny saved is a penny earned; Silence is golden; There's no such thing as a free lunch.
