Javert Stands at Rue de l'Homme Armé, - 6 Juin 1832
Revolution stirs emotions, which I thought did not exist The path that I had chosen seems to fade into the mist Time and time again I tried to raise a vice-like hold I desist for my wrist goes limp and my hand falls cold
What happened to that Tigre de le Loi? So infallible in justice and unswerving in ideals Irreproachable in motive, completely without flaw Black and white were all I saw simple in intentions: To serve solely to the law. He is old.
Ideals held on pillars seem to crumble into dust Two paths are hewn from one, both are equally as just There are two And both are just as right as they are wrong Shades of grey get in the way One cannot stay in limbo here for long He must choose
What happened to the days when I was sure? In the days before when law was law was law A punishment of karmic resolution? If solution’s put to action, should the tiger bear his claws: He will lose.

hehe.... BUMP.... (Just watched the Les Miserables miniseries with Gerarde Depardieu and John Malkovich.... Not my favorite, but by far the most accurate of the film adaptations. [except Javert's suicide, where he walks into the freakin' water! :rolls eyes : I mean, honestly! )
