Galaxy of Man
The galaxy in which the Integrated Systems is found. Following ancient Imperial Astrography conventions, the IS occupies the largest share of the Southern quadrant (determined by drawing a line from the capital Centrum through the galactic center). Star systems are usually named for their capital planets or habitats, rather than stars.
Earth
Also called Terra. Legendary homeworld of humanity. The planet's location is unknown to the IS (some doubt it even exists). Rumor most often places it in the Northern quadrant.
Centrum
Capital world of the Integrated Systems. Known by many names throughout history, most notably High Terra (as capital of the second Empire of Man) and Pax Eternity (under the first Empire of Man). Has been terraformed many times, and the original climate and biota are unknown. Currently, Centrum is cool-temperate most of its year. Orbits the star Nox and is roughly at the center of IS space.
Terra Main
Former capital of the first Empire of Man. Sometimes called Low Terra (its designation under the second Empire). Most life was eradicated by biological and nanomachine weapons during the Fall. Remaining life and most surface features were subsequently destroyed by conventional bombardment; leaving a barren, inert rock. Terra Main was surrounded by a matter sink sometime before the rise of the second Empire of Man by unknown powers. The matter sink intercepts all objects approaching the planet, only light passes the barrier. Orbits the star Nox.
Axis
Former capital of the Integrated Systems during the reign of the second Empire of Man, and current center of power for the Barony of Axis faction of Integrity. The surface is almost entirely converted to agricultural use, while the population lives in orbital stations that house all industrial and commercial facilities. A single space elevator provides transport to the surface. Orbits the star Icon.
Sazura
Homeworld of the Sazuran species, and capital world of their Federation. Orbits the star Bl.
Von
Homeworld of the Stenovian species, and capital world of their Commonwealth. Orbits the star Sheer.
Vulkan
Homeworld of the Vulkan species. A young and highly volcanic world, Vulkan is under strict quarantine by the Integrated Systems to preserve the Vulkan's habitat. The world itself is considered independent, though the space around it belongs to the IS. Orbits the star Olympia.
Eron
Major port-world and trading hub within the northern portion of Brouda family space. Former homeworld of a race of sentient quadrupeds called the Dernyup prior to extermination by the first Empire of Man. Orbits the star Weevil.
Nest
Resort world within the Barony of Axis favored by the Maxwells and other aristocratic families of the Barony. Notable for a precursor megastructure, the Spire, which is believed to be a weather-control device responsible for the mild climate in its valley. Orbits the star Hyp.
Lecik
Sparsely settled IS world southwest of Athens station. Most of the surface is covered with dense vegetation thought to have been introduced during the first Empire of Man. The population has been slowly dwindling after the last colonization attempt nearly a century ago, and is currently estimated at less than 7,000 individuals. Tidally locked to the red giant star FISC-5973.
Plink
Homeworld of the Plink species. Low gravity world with extremely varied terrain, most life (including the Plink) occupies valleys between the planet's many tremendous mountains. Although it is the homeworld, most Plink actually live in orbital habitats around Gdung, an inner-system gas giant. Orbits the star Ngweeza.
Thebes station
Official capital of the Principality of Thebes. Thebes station was a hyperdrive factory which served the first Empire of Man's expansion to the galactic northwest until it was damaged and ceased to function in the later centuries of Imperial rule. Shortly after the Integrated Systems rose to succeed the second Empire of Man, Thebes was looted by an unidentified battle-fleet which dismantled and stole the remnants of the hyperdrive factory, wrecking most of the station's habitats in the process. The station has never recovered, and most Thebans actually live on the planet Plate in the same system, which is also the effective capital of the Principality. Orbits the star Beo.
