The tension escalates when Seamus begins to harass Eustace, who tries to prove he didn't do it. Luckily (sort of) Mark Evans is petrified, but this time Seamus is fighting with Eustace so it can't be him. Unfortunately this does not change Seamus' view of Eustace.
The ‘Memory Assassain’ as he’s now labeled coughlockhartcough, Obliviates Fudge, and then Percy becomes the temporary MoM. He is liked for his authoritative Crouch Sr.-like style and is then elected the new MoM.
Harry and Snape plan a rescue mission to St. Mungo’s, to rescue, not only Neville and Hermione, but also Mr. and Mrs. Longbottom as well. Hermione and Neville recover quickly, Alice and Frank take longer…but Neville is thrilled. He’s going to have his parents back.
Hermione and Ron ‘hook up’ in time for a party at hogsmeade, Ginny and Harry too. Nothing unusual happens…it’s a happy time.
Which is spoilt for winter break (they all stay at Dragon’s Gate, as well as Neville, Ginny, Hermes and Eustace much to Ron’s consternation) When Ron receives a letter telling him that Percy’s fired his own father. Raven gives DD a portrait of him done in the magical paints that Snape gave her for her birthday. Rest of the time is spent helping the Longbottom’s recover (they are staying at Dragon’s Gate as well) Slowly, Neville’s memory, starts to return to him first in dreams… then flashes…continues throughout the year. (I want to work in Snape being there when he was obliviated somehow....guilty concious of snape....woohoo....skeletons in the closet...bwahahaha)
At the start of term, they find out Dennis Creevy has been killed. Which drives Ron and Seamus into high gear with his "Witch hunt"
Snape proposes to Raven, and Seamus is killed during Easter break
Lucius ‘kills’ Arthur... Percy has good yell at his family. (stemming from the fact that he's angry he can't tell his father that he didn't mean all the horrible things he said...and stuff like that..) Ron, who is near mad with grief over the other Gryffs deaths and his fathers, doesn’t really care about school rules anymore, Thinks Eustace is behind most of what's happening at school. He convinces Hermione G to get some Veritaserum from Snape's stores, which he slips to Eustace, who spills his guts about who he really is. Eustace is made to spill his whole life story, and Harry and Hermione Granger realize that this has all gone to far. While they talk sense into Ron, Eustace withdraws from everyone, reverting back to the "old Draco" personality, because he feels hurt and betrayed by the others. In a fit of Anger he confronts Draco, to talk some sense into him, but that totally backfires on him.
Ron's depressed, Harry's depressed, hermione's depressed... angst woooohoooo...... Ron OD's on sleeping potions, and winds up in the hospital. Harry has a nervous breakdown.
The Siege of Hogsmeade takes place. The whole town is barricaded against advancing Death Eaters. The kids are stuck in Hogsmeade. The Order swoops in to try to neutralize the threat, even Dumbledore comes. Meanwhile, the KoW have their own ideas and attempt to show support for the DE’s. Colin prematurely reveals himself as a member of the Knights of Walpurgis, as does Cho. Harry is dumbfounded. So is Draco…that wasn’t the Plan at all. Draco Stuns both of them before they could say anything that would incriminate him as the ringleader. Meanwhile, Draco executes the plan that he meant to do… let the DE’s into the town. He is successful. And the DE’s gain the advantage, capturing Harry. There’s the standard Harry-Voldemort quasi-duel. And Harry almost passes out but he’s saved by Dumbledore who is hit with a spell and is badly injured, Neville steps in to help Harry, and there's a spectacular three wand Priori Incantatem... with three, Harry and Neville manage to 'destroy' Voldemort. Later, Dumbledore is brought to St. Mungo's for recovery.
Rita Skeeter is spying during the seige, outs Snape as a vamp and DE (It appears he is, because he makes sure to do a bit of spying. He’s pinned as the one who let in the DE’s) plus finds out about his "relationship" with Raven and puts out an article with the tile of "Local Hogwarts Professor is Vampire love slave" Snape flees as Ministry officials arrive to take him away, Snape is relieved to find it’s MacNair (a Death Eater) Snape thinks Macnair will let him go, but now that it’s widely assumed that snape is still a loyal DE, Snape is no longer useful to the dark lord and therefore must be disposed of. Harry saves Snape from MacNair and Snape hides. Percy is hailed as one of the greatest Ministers of Magic in recent history.
After attempting to recover, Dumbledore breathes his last. :: cries! :: Harry and Snape and Raven are hit the hardest by the death. McGonnagal becomes Headmistress and Tonks becomes the new Transfiguration Professor.
Harry becomes leader of the OotP. He's reluctant to accept this position, but finally takes the responsability.
Colin and Cho are both expelled for their participation in the KoW. Although, due to a secret keeping charm, they are not allowed to tell anyone about anything important, otherwise they would die before getting the words out.
After the flurry of sixth year, all Death Eaterattacks suddenly stop, people are worried, but when nothing happens for three or more months and LV is missing, then people start to suspect he's gone, like the last time. Harry knows better because his scar is hurting him. He uses occlumency to block it out. People even begin to celebrate. The DE's 'look' for Voldemort, Peter interrogates Lupin. But they know where he is...
People start to doubt Harry again, and DD isn't there to help him, Snape is still in hiding.
Riddle comes to hogwarts after he's released fromt his paper prison. passes himself off as another durmstrang graduate.
Voldemort teaches DADA in cognito, trying to get close enough to Harry to perform the soul spell. Everyone thinks he's the best DADA teacher ever. Even Harry.
Snape gets sick of waiting around with nothing to do. He recalls bitterly the words he said to Sirius about staying put. And decides to go on a little escapade himself, he feels he's not doing anyone good staying here. He takes a gamble and goes back to Hogwarts to try and extract information from the remaining KoW members. This backfires. Draco finds out and thinks up a scheme to make him more powerful by becoming a vampire, (although, if you want to get all psychological, his real motive for wanting to be a vampire stems from wanting approval from his late father :-P) and the KoW members kidnap Snape and chain and starve him until he's in a frenzy and will bite anything that's got blood.
Draco succedes in his plan and Snape wakes up some time later, the taste of blood in his mouth, and a horrible feeling that he's done something unspeakable.
Near the end of book two, the goblins, after getting ready for a year, stage a rebellion... this happy coincidence gives LV a pretense for trying to protect Harry, thus revealing Martov Liddlemoor's true nature...bwahahaaaa!
Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titalandus: 'Draco' can mean either dragon or serpent in latin, so if the motto of the school is never tickle a sleeping serpent, it makes sense, it's a sort of warning about the Naga
